Vintage Design
This rare set of two ‘Diana’ safari chairs was designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA in Sweden during the early 1970s. This pair is from the early series production. It is in very good original condition. The chairs feature frames of solid pinewood and brass screws. Thick canvas covers with quilted seams, extra padded seats and backrests were used here. The belts are made from leather. These pieces are a great example of collectible vintage design from a time when IKEA only had started to become a leading furniture manufacturer.
