Unfortunately they did not address the ONE large blemish on the desk top which appears to be an ink stain (see photos). There is opened area on the right side with peg holes for a shelf. No shelf or pegs are included in sale. Drawers glide well. Overall this is an excellent desk. 8.5/10 less
