Vintage Design
Exquisite Art Deco dressing table made around 1930 in mahogany wood. with elegant shapes, this dressing table is configured in two different parts, the furniture itself and the completely circular mirror. Its design is asymmetrical, playing with the sinuosity of the profiles, as well as with space, with its incomings and outgoings, and with light, creating magnificent shadows.
On the left it presents three registers with circular bronze handles. Next to it, in a very innovative way, a door is created that goes unnoticed, with a very curved surface, which has a lock and key. Inside, veneered with lemongrass wood in its characteristic yellowish color. This entire part, both the drawers and the door, has a glass top.
To the right, under the mirror, two small shelves. The entire piece of furniture is raised above the floor thanks to a curved base. Structure made of solid wood veneered with mahogany wood, with its characteristic tiger veins and reddish color. Highly glossy lacquer that enhances the sumptuousness of the furniture. If you look at these characteristics (high quality materials, shiny lacquer and sinuous profile) you will find similarities with Jules Leleu’s designs. It is a highly decorative and individually functional piece, which plays with space.
