Vintage Design
Mahogany dressing table, beautifully inlaid on all sides with successions of uninterrupted cubes, underlined by lemon tree fillets. We owe their 3D effect to the regular alternation of wood of various colors.
The top of this piece of furniture is composed of three flaps. The one in the middle discovers a sliding mercury mirror, allowing to adjust the distance with its user. The two side flaps, held horizontally once opened, reveal two bare compartments and as many raspberry-coloured fabric shelves.
As a belt, this bedroom furniture offers a retractable zipper with a brass button, upholstered in contemporary red leather with a golden frieze. We also discover a first central drawer with bronze entry, functional original lock and added key, then a second, on the right, smaller and with compartments. The left drawer is dummy.
The set rests on four elegantly curved mahogany legs, with softened edges in light wood, and ending in brass shoes.
This functional dressing table and its fine marquetry are an undeniable invitation to a parenthesis for oneself.
